This took me a few hours today, I'm very pleased with it as it was my first ever painting with oils, and they take a bit of getting used to after only using acrylics

Leather owls and Buttons

 

Ive been adding to my button collection again, and they have now taken over a whole drawer

ive got loads of tiny buttons that I use for birds eyes on some of my paintings,and I have got lots of  leather bits aswell so I thought I would try to make some jewellery

and these little owl brooches were the end result of a lot of fiddling about

they are aprox 5 x 4 cm with a brooch bar on the back

Autumn leaves

Another day over!

It has been really nice weather here for the past few days, the sun has even been out!

The leaves in the garden are turning into lovely shades of red, so have been out collecting them

and putting into the press,hope to use them soon.

 I do seem to paint a lot of trees

here is one i finished recently

the tree tops are painted in Gold, Copper & red,

 I have used skeleton leaves along the ground

size 50 x 120cm
